IEA does not change world demand outlook

The International Energy Agency (IEA) has maintained the global oil demand forecast for 2015 and 2016 on the same level, Caspian Energy News (www.caspianenergy.net) reports with reference to the report of IEA.

In particular, IEA expects growth of demand by 1.8 mln barrels per day (up to 94.6 mln barrels per day) in 2015 compared to 2014 and by 1.2 mln barrels per day (up to 95.8 mln barrels per day) in 2016.

According to experts of IEA, the delay of growth of demand for oil occurred because many factors, which raised the demand in 2015 up to a 5-year maximum, turned out temporary. “The growth of demand, which reached 1.8 mln barrels per day in 2015, was maintained by the growth of demand in China, USA, India and Europe”, says the report.
