8 companies sign agreements on cooperation at Caspian Energy Forum Baku– 2018

The 7th International Caspian Energy Forum Baku-2018 (www.caspianenergyforum.com) took place in Baku (September 20) with the support of the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Caspian European Club.

On behalf of all the Forum delegates and members of the Club, the First Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Caspian European Club Telman Aliyev thanked all the government officials and executives of companies for their attention and participation in Caspian Energy Forum Baku-2018.

Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mukhtar Babayev, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Azerbaijan Matin Karimli, Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elsevar Aghayev, Chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan Samir Nuriyev, Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan Igbal Babayev, Executive Director of the Financial Market Supervisory Authority of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ibrahim Alishov, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan Orkhan Mammadov, Deputy Chairman of the State Agency on Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jamil Malikov and Deputy Chief of the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz  Musayev delivered speeches at the forum.

 

“Memorandum on cooperation was signed at Caspian Energy Forum Baku-2018 between the Caspian European Club and State Agency for Small and Medium Business Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan. 8 companies concluded agreements of intent to cooperate, 5 companies found partners who will represent their interests in the EU countries, 3 companies found distributers for supply of their products to Azerbaijan and 2 companies reached an agreement on joint production”, Telman Aliyev said.

 

He also added that on that day alone, after the official announcement about an intention to hold Caspian Energy Forum in Berlin on November 30, 2018 and in Istanbul on March 15, 2019, 43 companies registered as delegates for Caspian Energy Forum Berlin, 47 companies for Caspian Energy Forum Istanbul.

 

The Forum also hosted the presenting of the International Caspian Energy Award prize to the companies that have made a special contribution to the development of the Azerbaijan economy.

The delegates of the Caspian Energy Forum Baku-2018 are the heads of government structures, ministries, public committees, public agencies, public services, as well as executives of large public and transnational companies, international financial institutions, leading analytical centers, investment companies and rating agencies of the Caspian-Black Sea and Baltic region states, and representatives of diplomatic and international missions accredited in Azerbaijan.

The Caspian Energy Forum is held a few times a year in the countries of the Caspian-Black Sea and Baltic regions, and serves as a traditional platform creating favorable conditions to speed up a business-to-government dialogue, establish a close contact between the companies of the oil and non-oil sectors, arrange meetings between transnational companies and small and medium business representatives, as well as investors, experts and analysts interested in global cooperation between businessmen.

The Caspian European Club, Caspian, which brings together more than 5,000 member companies and organizations from 70 countries around the world, was established in June 2002 with the support of the largest oil and gas companies working in the Caspian-Black Sea region and with the active involvement of Caspian Energy International Media Group.

The Caspian American Club (established on 24 December 2016) and Caspian Asian Club (26 January 2018) will be managed by the Members of the Board of the Caspian European Club for 2 years. All companies that join the Caspian European Club as members get an automatic membership within the Caspian American Club, Caspian Asian Club and vice-versa. 

His Excellency President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has been the Chairman of the Caspian European Club since the very establishment of the Club.
