Iran's non-oil exports to EU rises

Iran's non-oil exports to EU rises

Despite the US' pressure to reduce trade with the Islamic Republic of Iran, its non-oil exports to Europe have risen by more than 26 percent, Caspian Energy News (www.caspianenergy.net) reports with reference to IRNA.

The Italian News Agency 'AGCNerws', referring to Iran's customs data, wrote, 'In the first half of this year, Iran exported more than 56 million tons of non-oil commodities to Europe, and over the same period, more than 16 million tons of goods were imported. Each barrel of Iran's oil was sold at $ 80.68 last week, which was $ 27.59 higher than last year.

'The European countries of Italy, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Netherlands, France, the UK, Greece, Poland, Austria, Slovakia, Portugal, Denmark, Croatia, Switzerland and the Czech Republic are in the list of 100 countries to which Iranian items are destined, while the United States and Mexico have been the major destinations for Iranian exported goods during the afore-mentioned period.'

Exports of Iranian goods to the UK in the first half of this year amounted to more than 246% in terms of weight but 13% in value. Import of Denmark, Mexico, Austria and France from Iran in the first half of this year did not change significantly in terms of value and weight in comparison with those last year.
