Earthquake of magnitude 6 strikes Azerbaijan

The earthquake of magnitude 6 struck the Agdam district on November 15 at 23:48 local time, Caspian Energy News ( reports with reference to

“Since repeated seismic shocks of lower intensity are continuing, we cannot tell their exact number so far. Most aftershocks are not felt, that is, they are of magnitude about 3 points”, said Vusalala Rafiggyzy, the head of the press service of the Republican Seismic Survey under the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).

It should be recalled that the wave of earthquakes swept across the Anatolian-Iranian-Caucasian region in July 2017. In Azerbaijan, the seismic events were registered in Oguz, Balaken, Goychay, in the Caspian Sea, etc. Tremors were registered in Iran, Turkey and Georgia.
