Georgia’s GDP grows

In Q2 2017 the GDP growth rate in Georgia was 4.7%. The nominal GDP comprised 9,066.1 million GEL, Caspian Energy News (www.caspianenergy.net) reports with reference to the National Statistics Office of Georgia.

Industry (16.7%) and trade (15.2%) are dominating in the composition of GDP. During the reporting period, GDP per capita comprised 2,438.3 million GEL.

The highest GDP growth rate was recorded in construction (16.4%), hotel and restaurant business (12.9%), and minerals production (7.4%). The decline in GDP was fixed in the sector of agriculture (-2.4%) and water supply (-0.9%).
