Samruk-Kazyna privatizes 60% out of planned facilities

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev met (August 23) with the Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC Umirzal Shukeyev, Caspian Energy News reports with reference to the official website of the head of state of Kazakhstan.

Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed the important role of the Fund in the country’s economy and dwelt on certain lines of its further development.

According to him, Samruk-Kazyna is of particular importance to the economy of the country and manages important assets of the state. The situation is not bad at present. The price conditions for metals remains favorable”, the head of state said. 

U.Shukeyev reported Nursultan Nazarbayev about the results of the activity carried out within 7 months of this year, as well as about the progress of the transformation of the Fund and its subsidiaries.

“Introduction of about 130 projects on transformation in daughter companies is currently underway. As far as the privatization is concerned, 60% out of 215 scheduled facilities have already been privatized. Now we are starting the sale of big companies”, Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC said.

At the end of the meeting the Head of State gave a number of errands.
